Kansas Waterfowl Hunting

Book your next Kansas waterfowl-hunting trip with us! We are a small family run business located in the heart of the Central Flyway zone. Many of our waterfowl properties are located near the 22,500 acre Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. For years these birds have followed, & will continue to follow their migratory path from Canada onto Quivira NWR. We receive hundreds of thousands of birds every year in South Central Kansas. The waterfowl then fly off of the Refuge onto our properties to feed & seek refuge. Our properties in Stafford County are simply some of the best found anywhere for Kansas waterfowl hunting.

2 Specklebellies, 6 Canadian Geese, 50 Snow Geese Per Person

When South Central Kansas endures its first arctic cold front we start to receive migratory birds from the Dakotas. Hundreds of thousands of migratory waterfowl follow the same track every year to Quivira National Wildlife Refuge. When the birds fly off of Quivira National Wildlife Refuge we are eagerly awaiting their arrival on our family owned properties. Some of the properties that you will be hunting have been in the family since the 1880s. It is a Kansas waterfowl hunting experience like no other!

We hunt these waterfowl in layout blinds & larger A-fame style boat blinds. We have a large spread of decoys available at our disposal. We adjust the decoy spread according to the spot that we are hunting, & the birds we are pursuing. The hunters will have a variety of ducks to shoot, and our duck-hunting outfitters are some of the best in Kansas. These include puddle ducks & diver ducks. The puddle ducks we most typically shoot are Mallard, Wood, Gadwall, Shoveler, & Wigeon ducks. Plus, we also have a variety of diver ducks that include Redheads, Canvasbacks, & Buffleheads.

The peak of the Mallard migration for us typically occurs in early to mid December. Once the cold weather pushes into Kansas to stay for awhile, the majority of the Specklebelly, Lesser Canadian, & Snow Geese fly south. When this occurs we get a big push of northern Canadian geese. The hunters then have the opportunity to hunt ducks & geese from the same location. It depends on the Kansas weather, but we will adjust your hunt according to how the weather is. If the waterfowl are feeding in open fields, we will pursue them there. Should they be hitting ponds, & areas not frozen over, we will pursue those areas. We keep the camp sizes small so that we can more easily adjust your hunt according to what the waterfowl are doing. When our spread of 500+ geese decoys is out, we are always pursuing that “100 Bird” day. We want you to have every opportunity possible to limit out, and that’s why people choose us as their Kansas duck hunting outfitters!
