Kansas Turkey Hunts

Kansas had an extremely mild winter & the weather warmed up really quick. Dirt Road Outfitters' family farm experienced above normal temperatures for this time of year. This got the Rio Grande turkeys started early. We were seeing Toms seperated about a month early. When april rolled around many of the Toms were henned up really well. So the turkey hunter must call to try to find a Rio Grande Tom turkey looking for a hen to breed. Luckily, this Kansas outfitter knew how to do just that. With a little luck, & lot of wind we were able to tag out our first youth hunter within just a few hours on opening day. Even though mother nature tried to crash our turkey hunting party in Kansas we were able to prevail & succeed. Below are some of the pictures from this Kansas turkey hunts with Dirt Road Outfiters in Kansas.
